Chia Se, a delightful addition to the picturesque Goulburn Valley in Victoria, seamlessly marries the vibrant cultures of Vietnam and the rustic charm of the Australian outback. This new restaurant, designed for the renowned Luke Nguyen, beckons patrons to escape their bustling lives and immerse themselves in serene natural surroundings, all while savouring a fusion of mouthwatering Vietnamese-Australian delicacies.

The name "Chia Se," meaning "to share" in Vietnamese, perfectly encapsulates the spirit of this establishment. Inspired by Luke Nguyen's unwavering passion for sharing his culinary creations with others, the restaurant offers a variety of seating options that encourage communal dining. Whether it is private dining, cozy banquet seating, or a public shared table, Chia Se creates an ambiance where people can come together to meet, eat, and connect.

One of the cornerstones of Nguyen's culinary philosophy is the pursuit of the freshest ingredients, and the restaurant's ideal location amidst the fertile farmlands of Victoria provides him with direct access to these fresh, local treasures.

The interior concept draws inspiration from Vietnamese culture, cuisine, lifestyle, and the iconic terraced rice fields. This essence is seamlessly intertwined with the rustic influence of the Australian outback, resulting in a unique and harmonious design.

Sculptural bamboo pillars gracefully line the bar, influenced by the rice stalks found in traditional Vietnamese rice fields, adding an artistic touch to the space.

Bespoke joinery profiles of the bar, banquet seating, and tables are carefully designed to mimic the soft curves of rice field terraces, enhancing the sense of balance and harmony in the restaurant's atmosphere. The outdoor seating area is slightly tiered, offering an experience reminiscent of dining in a lush rice field while large double hung windows open completely, allowing patrons to enjoy an indoor-outdoor experience, basking in the breeze and gazing upon the stunning Goulburn Valley landscapes. 

The result is a visual and culinary fusion that makes Chia Se a must-visit destination for those seeking an authentic and harmonious dining experience that bridges two worlds.

This hospitality space engages all the senses, from delectable taste, to the aromatic scent of fresh, ingredients, crisp country air, quality social interaction, textured fittings, soft live music and charming traditional art.

Goulburn Valley is a picturesque region located in the state of Victoria, Australia. This area is renowned for it's stunning landscapes, agricultural richness and its significant contribution to the state's economy. 1 Emily Street currently houses a local Italian pizza restaurant named The Winery Kitchen. Notably, the restaurant is housed in an octagonal-shaped building, adding to its unique charm.

The choice of materials pays homage to both Australian and Vietnamese cultures, with natural fibres like rattan, cotton, and bamboo representing Vietnam, and terracotta, copper, and Australian plants reminiscent of the diverse Aussie landscapes.
